What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Our chosen hybrid genre of psychological thriller and romance was shown to appeal to both males and females, which the thriller element mostly appealing to males and the romantic element appealing to females. As well as this, our pre-production audience research showed that the genre would mostly attract young adults aged 15-22, as the thriller and horror industry focus more towards this age range.
After watching our trailer, we as a group interviewed some people and asked them about their thoughts on certain elements of the trailer such as what they thought the genre was, the effect of the use of music and the editing. The respondents were also predominantly female which opposes our initial idea of our target audience.

We learnt that our trailer appealed to a wide range of people and not just individuals who were specifically interested in thrillers or horrors, and so we found that the storyline helped to attract a wider audience and that is also due to the hybrid genre that we chose.
